If you’ve ever felt uneasy about putting chemical dye on your scalp, you’re not alone.
One of the biggest culprits behind allergic reactions, scalp burns, and long-term irritation in conventional hair dye is a chemical called PPD (short for Paraphenylenediamine).
Here’s what you need to know:
❌ Why PPD Is a Problem:
PPD is a common ingredient in commercial hair dyes, including many labeled as “natural” or “henna-based”
It has been linked to rashes, skin irritation, chemical burns, and even severe allergic reactions
In 2006, the American Contact Dermatitis Society named it Allergen of the Year
The Environmental Working Group (EWG) ranks PPD high for allergies and immunotoxicity

Even small amounts of PPD in your hair color can lead to sensitization over time, meaning your body might react more and more with each exposure.
How It All Began: Our Natural Hair Color Journey
I was deep in work on my laptop one afternoon when my sister-in-law walked into my room, visibly upset.
“I feel old and depressed every time I look in the mirror,” she said.
I looked up, distracted and a little overwhelmed. “I don’t have time,” I replied. “I’ve got so much on my plate, I can’t even think about researching and experimenting with hair dye right now.”
But she didn’t let it go. “I don’t feel confident,” she said. “We have to do something.”
That was the moment we made a decision, to find a way to cover our gray hairs naturally. Not with harsh chemicals or store-bought box dyes, but with plants and herbs, the way our grandmothers did. We had already heard about the health risks of PPD and other toxic ingredients in conventional hair dyes, and we weren’t willing to trade our well-being for beauty.
But we still wanted to look beautiful. We wanted to feel radiant and confident again, and we knew we couldn’t be the only women feeling this way.
So we started our journey.
We researched.
We read labels.
We watched videos.
We tested products.
We called family members overseas and tapped into ancient knowledge passed down through generations.
It wasn’t easy, it took years to figure out what worked and what didn’t. But Alhamdulillah, we finally found a natural, plant-based process that consistently covered our grays in beautiful shades of brown and dark brown, without damaging our health, and without spending hours in the bathroom mixing potions.
Now, we feel confident, vibrant, and empowered, and the best part? We did it naturally.
When I looked at my sister-in-law one day and saw her glowing with joy, I said, “We have to share this. Women shouldn’t have to waste years or spend a fortune trying to figure this out. Let’s make it easy for them.”
That’s why I created this ebook, to help women like you:
